Reporting directly to the Managing Director of a boutique consultancy, the selected candidate will be responsible for conducting and coordinating research studies and drafting analysis to support commercial clients interested in launching operations or building new business strategies in the East Africa region.

He/She will plan, design, and carry out collaborative research utilizing basic PEST models as well as competitive and financial risk analysis to address the challenges and opportunities for commercial clients operating in the East Africa region.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

* A degree in Business Administration or International Relations from an accredited university.
* 1-3 years of relevant work experience preferably in a Research position or in a business consulting team;
* Demonstrate ability to organize and manage a diverse range of assignments and be detail oriented, possess strong verbal and written skills, ability to adjust to changing priorities and meet deadlines, ability to handle sensitive and confidential information;
* Demonstrate ability to analyze and synthesize data from a wide variety of sources and resulting information into clear summaries, be proactive in anticipating and seeking out information through computer based research;
* Have an interest in international business, international relations and social entrepreneurship;
* Be willing to learn and adapt;
* Be a team player;
* Be a Kenyan citizen or have a work visa to be employed in Kenya;
* Live full time in Nairobi
