Agro Chemical and Food Company Limited, a leading manufacturer and supplier of spirits and bakers yeast, situated in Western Kenya, seeks qualified Kenyans to fill the following positions. These positions require individuals who have highest level of initiative, honesty, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proficiency in the use of computers.

MANAGER ICT
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Manager ICT will be responsible for:
• Providing technical support to drive the implementation of ICT policies and plans within the organization.
• Preparing plans and specifications for computerization and networking of operations based on user requirements.
• Reviewing, testing and evaluating both hardware systems and software programs to determine their efficiency, reliability and compatibility.
• Developing and implementing computer security measures and guidelines to safeguard database from unauthorized access.
• Developing and implementing security procedures for installation of new softwares.
• Investigating and resolving computer hardware and software problems, as reported by users from time to time.
• Enforcing implementation of anti-virus and file backup procedures to protect against loss of valuable data.
• Identify existing and emerging technologies and evaluating its utilization and applicability.
• Preparing funding proposals and budgets for the ICT department.

Key Qualifications and Skills:
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or its equivalent.
• Professional qualifications in Hardware maintenance, Networking and systems administration – MCSE, CCNA or equivalent.
• Proven experience in Oracle database and applications administration.
• Knowledge and experience in ERP systems.
• Must have worked in a similar position for minimum of 5 years.

PROCUREMENT OFFICER
Reporting to the Assistant Manager (Procurement), the Procurement Officer will assist in implementing the company’s procurement policy to ensure efficient and effective procurement of goods, services and works.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Preparation of consolidated annual procurement plan based on approved budgets and co-ordinates its implementation.
• Carry out market surveys, monitor and evaluate performance of the supply chain function.
• Preparing Tender Committee papers.
• Prepare and submit to the PPOA procurement reports as and when such reports become due.
• Managing the disposal of obsolete, unserviceable and/or surplus items.
• Managing the annual supplier pre-qualification exercise.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the management from time to time.

Key Qualifications and Skills:
• Holder of a degree from a recognized university with a Diploma in Purchasing and Supply.
• Must be a member of KISM. Membership of any other recognized institution will be an added advantage.
• Must be conversant with import/export procedures including customs regulations.
• A good understanding of the Public Procurement Act and Regulations.
• Must have worked in a similar position for a minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing industry.
