International Rescue Committee Jobs: HIV/AIDS Focal Point

The International Rescue Committee seeks to fill the following position
for its Kenya Program, based in Kakuma Refugee Camp

HV/AIDS FOCAL POINT
Key Responsibilities: supervision of HIV/AIDS activities in Kakuma
Refugee Camp, coordinate all counseling related activities at the
designated sites; VCT sites, PMCT clinics, PITC sites, mobile and home
level VCT sites in all program areas, ensure that QA and QC activities
are conducted as per National guidelines in all testing sites, work closely
with clinical services team to ensure STI syndromic management,
TB treatment, universal precautions, blood safety, PMTCT and HIV
comprehensive care according to national and international standards
in Kakuma Refugee Camp, ensure timely ordering of program
commodities, distribution to sites, regular monitoring to avoid stock
outs, ensure accurate HIV activities’ records are maintained, relevant
data generated and submitted to HIS department and developing
progress report

Job Requirements: Registered Nurse/BSN or Clinical Officer, at
least 3 years experience in coordinating HIV/AIDS/STDs/TB projects
among refugee populations or resource poor setting, Trainings in PITC,
Counselor support supervision, PMTCT, STI syndromic management,
ART, quality assurance and TB/HIV care, cultural sensitivity, flexibility at
work and computer literate
