RUJWASCO is a Water Services Provider (WSP) licensed by Athi Water Services
Board (AWSB) to provide water and sewerage services in Ruiru Municipality and
Thika County Council. We invite applications from qualified candidates for the
following positions:-

FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will ensure that
the company’s financial and administrative operations are efficiently carried out.

Specific duties will include:-
• Establishment of sound financial policies, systems and procedures in
compliance with statutory regulations.
• Ensuring efficient revenue collection, disbursement, accounting and reporting
to the Managing Director.
• Coordinating the budgeting process, monitoring cash flow and overseeing the
company’s financial performance against the budget and operational goals.
• Management of day to day accounting process, reconciling monthly activity and
generating financial reports.
• Advising the Managing Director and the Board on the financial viability of
proposed projects and investment.
• Managing all affairs related to the company’s human resources including
recruitment, training and development, performance management, industrial
relations, health and safety.
• Coordination of annual audits in compliance with International Accounting
Standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
• A Certified Public Accountant, CPA(K) and a member of ICPAK .
• A Bachelor degree in business related field plus at least 6 years experience in
senior managerial position.
• Exposure to computerized environment and demonstrated ability to meet strict
deadlines are desirable.
• A team player of high integrity with good people management skills and proven
leadership abilities.

TECHNICAL MANAGER
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be head of the
company’s technical department.

Specific duties will include:-
• Direct, coordinate & manage the company’s technical operations & ensure good
maintenance of infrastructure for provision of quality water & sewerage services.
• Oversee planning and design.
• Take responsibility for the training, development and motivation of the
departmental staff.
• Develop departmental strategies, policies and plans to facilitate achievement of
overall company objectives.
• Ensure proper management of assets
• Ensure customer needs are effectively met.

QUALIFICATIONS
• A University degree in Civil / Water Engineering.
• Have at least 3 years experience in a senior level in managing water and
sewerage related services.
• Be of high integrity, results oriented and demonstrated leadership qualities.
