The role:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will head the Finance Department and will be charged with the following key responsibilities.
The key responsibilities include:-
- Providing creative and constructive leadership in the formulation and implementation of financial management strategies and policies.
- Creating financial awareness on resource allocation and financial management discipline.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of sound financial management systems procedures.
- Timely preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with regular and statutory accounting requirements.
- Managing financial resources effectively and efficiently through the development of activity based budgets and implementation of strict budgetary control measures.
- Analyzing the groups results and advising management on appropriate^ performance improvement strategies.
- Ensuring effective working capital management for the group.
- Promotion of the highest standards of integrity, transparency and accountability in financial management practices.
- Implementation of a robust IT system and establishment of efficient and effective procurement, raw materials and finished products management systems.
The ideal candidate should:-
- Possess a Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting Option), Finance or closely related field from a reputable University.
- Be a member if ICPAK or any other internationally recognized accounting body in good standing.
- Have an MBA Degree from a reputable University.
- Have demonstrated experience in improving organizational efficiency and performance.
- Have at least 10 years post-qualification experience in financial management 8 of which should be at a senior level in a commercial and/or manufacturing environment.
- Have hands on experience in computerized accounting applications/software
- Have the ability to work under pressure.
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have strong business acumen.
- Be at least 40 years.
Chief Internal Auditor

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will head the Internal Audit Division and must be conversant with all aspects of auditing.
The key responsibilities include:-
- Developing and managing an integrated internal audit function covering all areas of company operations.
- Evaluation of risks faced by and within the organization including those posed by Computerized Accounting Systems.
- Developing long and short term internal audit plans.
- Reviewing and appraising the soundness and efficiency of all systems of controls including financial operating and internal control systems and procedures in order to reduce the risk of errors, fraud and corruption.
- Carrying out periodic Company-wide audits.
- Carrying out investigations to identify waste and inefficiencies and advising management on strategies in deterring extravagance and improving economy, efficiency and effectiveness in carrying out organizational activities.
The ideal candidate should:-
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or Business Administration (Accounting Option), Finance or closely related field from a reputable University.
- Have at least 8 years post-qualification experience in the profession, 5 of which should be in auditing at senior level in a busy commercial environment or reputable audit firm.
- Be a member of ICPAK or any other internationally recognized Accounting body in good standing.
- Have strong communication and leadership skills.
- Be at least 35 years old.
Legal Officer 1

Reporting to the Company Secretary the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in:-

- Carrying out Board Secretarial work.
- Liaising with External lawyers in matters of litigation.
- Attending Court Cases as and when required.
- Overseeing all matters of Insurance for the Company.
- Liaising with other departments on legal matters.
- Drafting/approving and signing contracts, agreements and other legal documents between the Company and third parties.
- Liaising with Shareholders in all respects on behalf of the Company, maintaining the register of all matters affecting shareholding.'
- Ensuring that the Company complies with its Memorandum and Articles of Association.
- Ensuring safe custody and proper use of the Company Seal, motor vehicle Log Books, Title Deeds and other legal instruments.
- Administration of the Staff Retirement Scheme.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor of Law degree from a reputable university and be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
- Post-graduate Diploma in Law.
- Possession of a Master's Degree in Law (LLM) or Certified Public Secretary (CPS) qualifications would be an added advantage. Be computer literate.
- At least 4 years experience in litigation and conveyancing.
- Be at least 25 years old.
The positions of Finance Manager and Chief Internal Auditor will be on 3 year contract (renewable subject to satisfactory performance).
The position of Legal Officer I is on Permanent and Pensionable Terms of Employment.
An attractive salary commensurate with responsibilities of each position will be payable.
