Area Agri-Business Manager - Maltings Job: EABL

This above role will be in one of our associate companies EABL - Maltings based in Molo.

The Role:

Will be responsible for delivery of targeted quantity and quality Malting Barley and reports to the Agricultural Manager through
  • Recruitment of farmers, planting, monitoring and reporting, harvesting and delivery of barley quantities.
  • Ensuring proper use inputs loans for farmers recruited in his or her area following strict guidelines
  • Advisory service to farmers on land preparation and crop production techniques for better yields and quality.
  • Working with other barley supply stakeholders- harvesting contractors and transporters to ensure delivery of agreed malting barley quantities.
  • Building effective and long lasting relationships with farmers and other stakeholders
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have: -
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Agriculture Production (preferably small Cereals)
  • Knowledge on Agricultural machinery involved in production like planting, spraying, harvesting
The Person:
  • Good commercial orientation and strong numerical skills
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize complex tasks
  • Excellent relationship across the range, on/ off trade with customers
