Operations Marketing Manager Job Vacancy: Swift Human Resources Consultants

Our client a tours and travel transport company with branches throughout east Africa is looking for an Operations marketing manager with ample experience from a tours and travel transport company

Report to the Managing Director, the following candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Sales and marketing of the company’s services to ensure there is continuous new business to the company
  • Oversee and coordinate operations procedures and review, evaluate and implement new procedures
  • Establish work priorities, delegate work to drivers and ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed
  • Supervising operations of all company vehicles through reports obtained from quality control department
  • Do quotations and deliver correct information to clients
  • Direct and advise staff in their responsibilities
  • Set operations policies and standards, including determination of safety procedures to all drivers
  • Oversee dispatch of vehicles
  • Plan, administer and control this department’s budgets for fuel equipment and supplies needed by each vehicle
  • Monitor department’s performance; prepare, weekly, monthly reports to managing Director.
  • Plan for changes to schedules and policies
  • Oversee all drivers and their training
Requirements
  • At least 6 years relevant experience.
  • Must be computer literate and holder of a valid driving license
  • A degree in tourism management or a diploma in tours and travel as an added advantage plus a marketing certificate or work experience
  • Ability to prepare timely and accurate management reports and information
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must have knowledge of transport legislation and insurance matters.
  • Must be familiar with the operations of different types of vehicles.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to achieve results in a complex transport division.
  • Must have good track record in business and people management.
  • Must possess good negotiation and communication skills.
  • Must be a person of high integrity, diligent and willing to work long hours with minimum supervision and meet strict deadlines
