Inspector Job Vacancy: County Council of Embu

It is notified for the general public that there is one vacant post of an Inspector III salary scale 13 in the County Council of Embu establishment that the Council is desirous of filling up.

Salary of the post: Ksh. 13,335/= (Minimum) - Ksh.23,345/= (Maximum) per month
House allowance Ksh.6,750/= per month

Terms of service:

• Permanent and pensionable and as per the current terms and conditions of service for officers of local authorities in Kenya.
  

Minimum requirements for appointment:

Applicants;

• Should be holders of Kenya certificate of secondary school grade D+ or its equivalent
• Must have attended inspectorate course either from City Inspectorate or Police Training College
• Must be under 45 years old
• Must have served as an assistant inspector (Enforcement Officer) or other comparable position for not less than two years
• Must not have been dismissed or deserted duties in his/her previous job
• Must have a current certificate of good conduct

Duties and responsibilities:

• Accountable to the County Clerk and the Council as head of enforcement section.
• Enforcing Council by-laws.
• Planning of work and operations, including and not limited to enforcing discipline and supervision of other enforcement staff under him/her.
• Preparing charge sheets and coordinate investigations and prosecutions of offenders of Council By-laws in liaison with other Government, judicial and security machinery.
