The Mater Hospital, One of the Leading private Hospitals in Kenya, is seeking to fill the following vacant positions in her establishment.

1. Credit Controller – Non Corporate
Role Purpose
Proper Financial management of non-corporate patients to
ensure timely payment

Key Result Areas
• Vet patients’ admission applications with regard to meet
financial capacity to pay bills.
• Supervise and coordinate staff and activities of noncorporate
credit control section
• Ensure proper patients records are kept in regard to
deposits and payments
• In consultation with the Credit Manager, make relevant
patient transfer decisions
• Coordinate discharges and address clients’ queries
• Oversee the process of clearing patients due for
procedures in the theatre and /or outside facilities.
• Highlight monthly balances regarded as unrecoverable for
purposes of provisioning
• Participate in annual review of non-corporate
debtor’s ledger

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in relevant field
• Diploma in Credit management
• CPA II
• Computer literacy
• 35 years old and above

Personality traits

• Outstanding Persuasion and Negotiation skills
• Proper Communication and report writing skills
• High level of Accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure, and make quick,
independent and justifiable decisions.
• Excellent and outgoing team leader
• Firm but polite character
• High level of integrity

Work Experience

• Knowledge of Debt/Financial counseling
• Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Credit
Controller, 2 years dealing with non corporate
clients
• Prior experience in a Hospital setting will be an
added advantage

2. Tutor– Catherine Mc Auley, School
of Nursing & Midwifery

Role Purpose

To develop and produce qualified professional nurses and
midwifes

Key Result Areas

ß Prepare and present well researched teaching to students
ß Provide theoretical and clinical instructions to students to ensure
mastery of skills
ß Monitor students performance to maintain institutional standards
ß Offer guidance and counseling to promote high degree of personal
integrity, team spirit and outstanding work standards.
ß Develop and review curriculum in line with Nursing Council
requirements
ß Develop and coordinate extra curriculum activities for students
ß Prepare and maintain students register
ß Compile examination questions and mark national examinations
if invited

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing Science or Diploma in
Nursing/Midwifery/Advanced Nursing
• Computer literacy
• 30 years old and above

Personality traits

• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good team leader
• Passion for new knowledge
• Pleasant and outgoing personality

Work Experience

• Minimum of 2 years working experience as a tutor in
a well establish Nursing School
