Education Impact Specialist Job Vacancy: Partners for Progress (PfP)

Location: Nairobi based with significant travel to Machakos, Mwala and Naivasha

Partners for Progress (PfP), an INGO working with young people in education, enterprise & HIV has been operating in Kenya since 1996. With a strong district presence, PfP has developed exciting replicable models for helping rural primary schools ensure quality primary education and HIV awareness. Join us and help make PfP a household name in young people's development!

Roles:
  • Having an advisory rather than line management function, this post reports to the Country Director and is accountable for the quality of PfP's education programme and for donor income, providing direction, support and oversight.
  • As a member of PfP's Senior Management Team, you will play a critical role in the leadership of PfP Responsibilities include project design, proposal writing, planning, M&E, budgeting, reporting, staff development, facilitating learning between regions and countries and networking.
Qualifications and competencies:

With a university degree and background in primary school education you will have several years experience at senior level. You will understand the critical success factors that drive education development and have a strong understanding of participatory design and M&E.

You will have strong project management, budgeting and reporting skills and be able to produce successful donor funding proposals. You will have strong staff and community training skills and credibility with donors and government at senior level. You will have a passion to think outside the development box and challenge usual business development approaches.
