Programme Manager Job Vacancy: Saferworld

Saferworld is an independent non-governmental organisation that works to prevent and reduce violent conflict and promote cooperative approaches to security.

We believe that everyone should be able to lead peaceful and rewarding lives free from insecurity and violence.

Saferworld has been working in Africa since 1997, with a primary focus upon East Africa and the Horn region.

In order to manage the delivery of an expanding programme in Somalia, we are recruiting for a newly-created senior position:

Programme Manager: Somalia - based in Nairobi, Kenya

The post holder will manage the delivery of Saferworld's programme in Somalia, which aims to strengthen the participation of Somali Non-State Actors in decision-making on peace, security and development.

The successful candidate will require at feast 7 years experience working on conflict prevention, peace-building or development Issues; experience of civil society capacity-building; and excellent project management skills.
